Blog Journal #6

My initial experiences with Diigo have been great. I like how easy it is to use and once you have installed the extension, it gives easy access on any website to annotate, bookmark, and sticky note to then upload to the Diigo class page. I think it is a great way to collaborate with others about different websites and articles. I think the bookmarking and annotating helps a ton, because sometimes you can get overwhelmed with a long website or article, so these features help a ton in the process of understanding a article you are reading.

I have enjoyed blogging this semester! I think it is a great way to get your thoughts across and having your peers respond and critique has helped me in getting better at blogging. There is nothing really that I do not like about blogging. Before this class, I never really had a reason to blog, but I think doing the assignments, such as the Newsletter, was very beneficial. I loved using my creativity to make a newsletter for a specific grade, and then bringing it to the blog and having my classmates see it, review it, and comment on it.

A web 2.0 tool that I found very interesting while researching was a tool called Membean. Actually, I used it during high school and just recently came back across it. Membean is an online vocabulary software that many english teachers use for students to broaden their vocabulary. In this software, there is tests, quizzes, games, and much more. It is a fun, collaborative way to learn, and personally, I think being engaged and enjoying what you are doing is the best way to learn.
