While working on the Weebly Web Design assignment, I really learned how to use my creative side and incorporate that into a useful resource page for a class. I found that Weebly was extremely well organized and simple to use. Learning how to navigate softwares like Weebly and how to properly format webpages is an extremely useful and helpful task to now take with me into my future careers. I think this website allowed us students to be creative and put our own twist on our pages.

Diigo helped me learn how to use tools on any and every website and then be able to go back to Diigo and use that information there. I love the sticky note feature and highlight feature. Both of these tools allow users to be more organized and precise. I do wish Diigo was a little easier to browse and maybe more updated, as the aesthetic is not the best. But once you understand the website, it is a great tool to use.
Technology is such a vital part of education now, whether using it directly in the classroom, or using technology for research or communication. Teacher professional development is the ways in which teachers learn more and find more outlets to help them teach the best they can. Without technology, it would be hard to broaden the horizons and opportunities for teachers and students.

I love your website's design! The fall elements are particularly pleasant. I also emjoyed making the website, but I found that weebly was not as easy to build a website on as it could have been. Particularly, I did not like how it automatically organized things; I was also unable to shape the textboxes as I wanted, which became frustrating at times.
ReplyDeleteI am already familiar with the skills Diigo puts into practice, so I have not gotten a lot out of it. Personally, I do not lime the highlight and sticky note tool. It is very effective, and easy to use; my issue is that it gets in my way when I am trying to do things unrelated to Diigo.
Technology is absolutely vital, I agree! Remember when smart boards started to be integrated? They were game changing and incrediible beneficial to our education. Teachers just had to learn how to use them effectively. It is exciting to consider to the future enhancements technology will provide education.
Participation Portfolio 22: Contrast is followed to the letter. Different items of different importance are in different and recognizeable style and it is visually pleasing as a result. Most notable in this is the fonts and colors.
ReplyDeleteThis contrast is done within the rules of repitition. Similar information has similar styles, and the color scheme is consistent.
Allignment is done well too. Nothing is arbitrarily placed and everything makes sense.
Proximity is done perfectly as well amongst all the pages. Spacing is generally wonderful on the website.
Hey!! I really like your website design, and liked the theme. The contrast with colors was really nicely done, and everything showed up well. I thought the proximity and repetition of themes throughout was really good, too :)
