I have enjoyed EME2040 so much. I am in a fully online section of this class. What I have loved most about this class is that even though it is fully online, I have been able to get to know my classmates through group projects. This collaboration with peers has allowed me to learn so much about this class and the applications we have used. If I could change one thing that I disliked, was that we did not have a zoom or anything. We watched videos and although extremely helpful, I would have loved a little more collaboration with my peers. When I am a teacher, something I will do to improve the classroom experience is making sure everything we do in class is posted online immediately in case students are at home sick etc.

An open educational resource, OER, are resources that are available for access online to modify and make your own. They are great resources to use as a teacher because they allow for collaboration and authenticity with having the ability to create in a free way. Here is a link that allows you to find articles and materials of about anything you can imagine. The nice thing about this website is it is very specific. What I mean is you put in a phrase of what you are looking for, the subject, the educational level, and standard. A specific example of an OER is an application called Net Texts. What this application does is it allows teachers to select courses from the material on the application and then the teachers can modify and change things in it to make the course and information unique. It is a great tool to allow both student and teacher collaboration. Here is a link to learn more about this application!

After working on this Assignment 4: Powerpoint for Information Dissemination, I feel like I understand the powerpoint application better. I love how they give you design ideas to really making your powerpoint more unique and special. If I could change one thing about the assignment, it would be the number of slides. I say this because I think I could have gotten my point across successfully without having this many slides. Overall, I really enjoyed the project and loved using my creativity throughout it!
